Trades training builds knowledge and skill through a succession of on-the-job training and technical (in-class) training.

The technical training of the Rig Technician program is meant to help apprentices understand aspects of their job that might be hard to convey in the loud, quick-paced rig environment. 

It’s an opportunity for apprentices to gain well-rounded knowledge of the mechanics and skills they use on the job. 

Classes are taught by experienced Drillers and Rig Managers. 

These courses relate directly to what you do day-to-day on the rig.

Each period of Rig Technician training has a classroom component.
